The Guarda Val is a unique hotel in 11 huts and barns that are up to 300 years old. The hotel itself is actually a little outside of Lenzerheide in a hamlet called Sporz. The interior combines the fascination of a deep-rooted Graubünden alp tradition with a contemporary concept Alpine design and lifestyle.
You can use the free hotel shuttle to get to the lift and hit the slopes in no time or ask the driver to drop you off for some shopping or hiking.
The hotel is situated just outside (2,5 kilometres) of Lenzerheides' village centre although the hotel ground is a private terrain it still feels like a you are in Lenzerheide. The place is not that secluded and definitely not deserted.
Skipasses can be acquired at the hotel's front desk which is actually a cosy barn where they serve you a nice cup of hay flower tea on arrival in a comfortable chair while the paper work is taken care of during the check in
Coffee, tea and cake buffet served daily free of charge and contain a variety of sweet snacks and tarts and some local delicacies
A selection of non-alcoholic drinks in your mini-bar are complimentary and refilled on a daily base. The room comes with a thorough turn-key service that prepares you room for the night including a thoughtful little treat from time to time

Interior is contemporary Alpine design and all rooms have a different interior as they are spread out over several ancient barns. Together they are called a 'maiensäss' hotel that actually means it used to be an traditional farmers village

You can have a 'late riser' breakfast until 2 in the afternoon if you feel like sleeping inn

The area offers you 225 kilometres of snow-secure slopes and are now connected to Arosa by cable car. Lenzerheide has a long tradition of alpine skiing. The village has a large number of luxury hotel rooms and some really nice restaurants, bars and clubs to spend your night out. As of this year it is possible to reach Arosa by a brand new cable car connection. More slopes for you to discover!
